CAIRO – 21 July 2026: Egypt has strongly condemned recent threats targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, affirming its categorical rejection of any escalation that threatens the Kingdom's security or regional stability.

In an official statement released Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the threats in the strongest terms. The ministry warned that such irresponsible actions undermine regional stability, endanger international trade, and threaten maritime navigation across vital waterways—representing a flagrant violation of international law, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

Egypt reaffirmed its complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia and fellow Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, voicing full support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

Furthermore, the statement underscored the vital importance of prioritizing political and diplomatic avenues while respecting international legal frameworks to facilitate de-escalation and preserve long-term peace in the region.
