CAIRO - 21 July 2026: The Addiction Control and Treatment Fund provides free and confidential treatment services for addiction patients, in accordance with international standards.
Treatment is available through the hotline number "16023" and is offered at the Fund's "Al-Azima" centers or partner centers.
Steps to Apply for Free Addiction Treatment
The patient or a family member can call the Addiction Control and Treatment Fund's hotline number "16023," available 24/7.
A specialized and qualified team will answer the calls.
Patients are referred to treatment centers affiliated with the Addiction Control Fund or partner centers with the "16023" hotline.
Treatment services include psychological support, medical services, rehabilitation programs, and relapse prevention programs.
The Fund currently operates 35 specialized treatment centers in 20 governorates.
Counseling and follow-up care for patients undergoing treatment are provided free of charge and in complete confidentiality.
Counseling services are also offered to families on early detection mechanisms and how to manage addiction.
Al-Azima Centers of the Addiction Control Fund
Dr. Amr Othman, Director of the Addiction Control and Treatment Fund, indicated that all treatment services are provided to any addiction patient free of charge, in complete confidentiality, and in accordance with international standards.
The Fund's Al-Azima Centers include rehabilitation and psychological support rooms, gyms, green spaces, and other facilities comparable to the best addiction treatment centers in the world.
These centers were established according to international standards in the field of addiction treatment and rehabilitation and include five-a-side football pitches, table tennis and billiards facilities, gyms, music rooms, a theater, libraries, and restaurants.
There are also vocational training workshops to teach recovering addicts trades needed in the job market as part of the "Work-Based Therapy" program.
