CAIRO – 12 July 2026: Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher has departed for Türkiye on an official visit aimed at enhancing military cooperation.

The Egyptian defense minister is leading a high-level military delegation during the official visit, which comes at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart, the Armed Forces’ spokesman said on Sunday.

Zaher is scheduled to hold talks with Türkiye’s defense minister and other military officials at the ministry to bolster military cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries across a range of fields.
