Joint Egyptian-Turkish air training exercise ‘Anatolian Eagle’ concludes in Türkiye

CAIRO – 8 July 2026: The joint Egyptian-Turkish air exercise ‘Anatolian Eagle 2026’ concluded after several days at a Turkish airbase. The exercise involved the air forces of Egypt, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, as well as a NATO early warning aircraft.

The closing ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Amr Saqr, Commander of the Egyptian Air Force, Major General Sherif El-Araishi, Head of the Training Authority of the Armed Forces, and several other military commanders from the participating countries.

The training included numerous joint sorties conducted by multi-role fighter jets. These sorties focused on attacking enemy targets, defending vital assets with efficiency and effectiveness, engaging and intercepting drones, and conducting aerial refueling. The exercise also included training in providing close air support to ground forces, demonstrating the precision and skill of the participating pilots.

“Anatolian Eagle 2026” is part of the joint training plan of the armed forces with allied and friendly nations, aimed at strengthening military cooperation and enhancing the combat readiness of the Egyptian and Turkish air forces.
