The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts that Thursday, July 2, 2026, will see warm and humid weather in the early morning, becoming very hot and humid during the day across most of the country.
 
The northern coast will experience hot and humid conditions, while the nighttime temperatures will be warm and humid across most of the country.
 
The expected maximum temperatures in the shade (both expected and perceived) are as follows:
 
Greater Cairo: High 36°C, Perceived 38°C.
 
Lower Egypt: High 35°C, Perceived 37°C.
 
Northwest Coast: High 30°C, Perceived 33°C.
 
Northeast Coast: High 32°C, Perceived 35°C.
 
Upper Egypt: High 37°C, Perceived 39°C.
 
Southern Egypt: High 43°C, Perceived 44°C.
 
 
High humidity levels will increase the perceived temperature in the shade by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius compared to the expected temperature.
 
Mist (from 4 to 8 AM): Over areas from northern Egypt to Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt.
 
River navigation disruptions: In some areas of the coasts of the Gulfs of Suez and Aqaba, with wind speeds of 50 to 60 km/h and wave heights of 2.5 to 3.5 meters.
 
A slight chance of low cloud formation over scattered areas of the northern coast, the Nile Delta, Greater Cairo, and the Suez Canal cities, which may result in light, insignificant drizzle in some areas.
