CAIRO – 29 June 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent launched the "Zad Al-Izza" Convoy No. 223—on Monday, dispatching a fleet of trucks to the Gaza Strip as part of its role as the national mechanism for coordinating humanitarian aid to the territory.
The convoy carried approximately 3,458 tons of humanitarian assistance, including food baskets, flour, medical supplies, relief materials, and fuel to power hospitals and other vital facilities in the Strip.
The Egyptian Red Crescent also expanded the provision of essential supplies to Gaza's residents, including clothing and tents to shelter those affected.
The Egyptian Red Crescent has maintained a presence at the border since the onset of the crisis. The Rafah border crossing has remained open from the Egyptian side, while the organization has maintained a high level of readiness across all its logistics centers. It has continued its efforts to deliver humanitarian and relief assistance, totaling more than one million tons, with the support of more than 65,000 volunteers.
