Hot weather expected Sunday - file

CAIRO - 27 June 2026: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts that Sunday will see moderate temperatures and humidity in the early morning, becoming hot and humid during the day across northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, and very hot in southern Egypt.
 
Nighttime temperatures will be moderate and humid across most of the country, becoming warmer in Upper Egypt.

Greater Cairo: High 35°C, perceived 37°C.
 
Northwest Coast: High 31°C, perceived 33°C.
 
Upper Egypt: High 38°C, perceived 39°C.
 
Lower Egypt: High 34°C, perceived 36°C.
 
Northeast Coast: High 32°C, perceived 34°C.
 
Southern Egypt: High 41°C, perceived 42°C.
 
 
Weather Phenomena
 
High humidity will increase the perceived temperature in the shade by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius.
 
Mist is expected from 4 to 8 AM in areas from northern Egypt to Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. It may be dense at times and reduce horizontal visibility on some roads.
 
There is a slight chance of low clouds forming over scattered areas of the North Coast, the Nile Delta, Greater Cairo, and the Suez Canal cities. This may result in light, insignificant drizzle in some areas.
