Sudden changes in temperature, humidity; Cairo hits highs of 36°C

CAIRO - 8 June 2026: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts that Monday will witness increase in temperature degrees across most parts of the country by 2-3 degrees celsius. 

EMA expected that moderate climate to prevail during the early morning hours, while very hot weather to prevail throughout the day across most of the country, and warm to hot along the northern coast. 

Citizens will feel increased high humidity levels by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius compared to the actual temperatures in the shade. 

There is a slight chance of light rain (approximately 20%) in some areas of the northern coastal governorates and northern Lower Egypt at intervals.

Cairo:

 

High: 36°C

 

Low: 24°C

 

 

Alexandria:

 

High: 31°C

 

Low: 21°C

 

 

Marsa Matrouh:

 

High: 28°C

 

Low: 20°C

 

 

Sohag:

 

High: 41°C

 

Low: 25°C

 

 

Qena:

 

High: 42 degrees Celsius.

 

Low: 27 degrees Celsius.

 

 

Aswan:

 

High: 41 degrees Celsius.

 

Low: 28 degrees Celsius.
