CAIRO - 4 June 2026: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has released its weather forecast for Thursday, June 4, 2026, including expected high and low temperatures. The Authority confirmed that temperatures will continue to rise across most of the country.
Thursday's Weather Forecast
The Meteorological Authority explained that the weather will be mild in the early morning, very hot during the day across most of the country, hot along the northern coast, and mild to warm at night. It noted that high humidity levels will increase the perceived temperature by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius.
The statement indicated a chance of light rain in parts of the northwestern coastal governorates and the Western Desert, with a possibility of moderate, thundery rain (approximately 20% chance) in some areas of the New Valley Governorate at intervals.
It also noted that occasional wind activity is expected, with speeds ranging from 30 to 35 km/h across most areas, potentially stirring up sand and dust in parts of the Red Sea Governorate at intervals.
The statement further indicated a slight chance of low cloud formation over scattered areas of southern Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, and northern Upper Egypt, which may result in light, insignificant drizzle in some areas.
