CAIRO - 23 May 2026: The Ministry of Health and Population has launched 26 mobile medical convoys in major squares and parks across Egypt to ensure the safety of citizens during Eid al-Adha celebrations.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the ministry's official spokesperson, explained that two convoys have been deployed in Cairo Governorate, specifically in the Al-Azhar Park and Misr Station areas; two in Alexandria, in the San Stefano area and Misr Station; one in North Sinai, in Al-Rifai Square and the public square on 23 July Street; and one in Aswan, at the railway station and the Nile Corniche in front of Ferial Garden.
The ministry is also preparing to provide immediate medical services to citizens during the Eid al-Adha celebrations.
Abdel-Ghaffar added that one mobile medical convoy was deployed to each key location in the remaining governorates, including Z Park in Giza, the beginning of Al-Bahr Street in Gharbia, the Nile Corniche promenade in Beni Suef, the Qanater Gardens in Qalyubia, the public square in Quesna, Menoufia, Clock Square in Damietta, and the Nile Corniche in front of the girls' school in Luxor.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Ghabashi, Director General of the Medical Convoys Department, indicated that medical coverage continued in several other vital locations, including the stadium roundabout in Damanhour, Beheira; the Sea Club in Qena; the Nile Corniche in front of the Minya Governorate building; Sanaa Park in Kafr El-Sheikh; Al-Ferdous Park in Assiut; the vicinity of the Al-Taamir Club and the Police Club in New Valley; Al-Ghazala Park in Matrouh; the ring road near Al-Doha Mosque in Ismailia; Family Beach 2 in the Red Sea; the vicinity of the Dakahlia Governorate building; and the sports stadium in Nasser City, Sohag.
