GEORGIA – 13 May 2026: Israel is concerned that US President Donald Trump could reach a “bad” deal with Iran that does not fully address Tehran’s ballistic missile program and regional proxy network, CNN reported, citing multiple Israeli sources.
“There is real concern that Trump will reach a bad deal. Israel is trying to influence it as much as it can,” according to one of the officials.
US officials have reportedly assured Israel that Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium remains part of the talks.
Meanwhile, the sources said Israel fears Trump may push for a quick agreement with Tehran despite unresolved security concerns tied to the recent conflict, including ballistic missiles and regional proxies.
“The primary concern is that Trump will grow tired of talks and cut a deal, any deal, with last-minute concessions,” a source said.
Since the start of the US-Israeli attacks on Iran on February 28, Iran has launched thousands of missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and Gulf Arab states.
