CAIRO – 11 May 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent launched its 193rd "Zad Al-Ezza: From Egypt to Gaza" convoy on Monday, dispatching a fleet of trucks toward the Gaza Strip.

This initiative is a cornerstone of the Red Crescent’s role as the national mechanism for coordinating aid to the region.

The convoy carried approximately 4,417 tons of comprehensive humanitarian assistance, including food baskets, flour, medical supplies, and relief materials. Additionally, the shipment included petroleum products essential for the operation of hospitals and vital infrastructure within the Strip.

The Egyptian Red Crescent has further intensified its efforts to provide Gaza residents with basic necessities, including clothing, blankets, tarpaulins, and tents to shelter displaced families.

Having maintained a constant presence at the border since the onset of the crisis, the Egyptian Red Crescent notes that the Rafah crossing has remained open on the Egyptian side.

The organization continues to operate at full capacity across all logistical centers. To date, total humanitarian and relief deliveries have exceeded 970,000 tons, supported by the dedicated efforts of more than 65,000 volunteers.
