CAIRO - 11 May 2026: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has announced that hot to very hot weather will continue across most of the country, noting that the peak of the heatwave will be Tuesday.
The Authority explained that the current temperature in Greater Cairo is 30 degrees Celsius in the shade, amidst stable weather conditions and relatively moderate winds, which may occasionally become active in parts of South Sinai and the Red Sea Governorate.
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority confirmed that the hot weather will continue until the end of the week, with a noticeable rise in temperatures across most areas during the daytime.

Greater Cairo: High 34°C, Low 21°C
Alexandria: High 30°C, Low 18°C
Matrouh: High 31°C, Low 17°C
Sohag: High 38°C, Low 21°C
Qena: High 40°C, Low 23°C
Aswan: High 41°C, Low 25°C.
