Egypt’s EMA: Clouds with rain in some Areas, alongside dust and sandstorms

CAIRO – 18 April 2026:  The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) confirmed that satellite imagery shows a continued presence of low-and-medium and high-level clouds over parts of Upper Egypt and the Red Sea mountain range, with a chance of rain.

Low clouds are also present over parts of northern Egypt, extending to the Nile Delta and Cairo, with a possibility of light rain, EMA added.

Winds are expected to remain active across most of the country, with some dust and sandstorms, though less intense, in certain areas, it said. The Authority added that Cairo recorded on Saturday a temperature of 26°C at 1:00 PM.
