CAIRO – 15 April 2026: Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Migration, Badr Abdelatty, received a phone call on Wednesday from Muhammad Ishaq Dar, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
The two ministers discussed the latest regional developments and coordinated joint efforts between their respective countries. They also exchanged views on the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran, maintaining close coordination and consultation to support regional de-escalation efforts.
During the call, the ministers emphasized the urgent need to expedite the resumption of negotiations between the United States and Iran.
They noted that such progress would contribute significantly to reducing tensions and ending hostilities, particularly given the gravity of the current situation and its potential repercussions on regional peace and security.
