CAIRO - 14 April 2026: Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held phone calls with his Saudi and Iraqi counterparts, as well as the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), to coordinate on regional developments and de-escalation efforts.
Abdelatty, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, and IAEA chief Rafael Grossi exchanged views on rapid regional shifts following U.S.-Iranian negotiations held in Islamabad on Saturday.
In the Monday calls, the officials emphasized intensifying efforts to prioritize negotiations to overcome current crises and maintain regional stability.
The parties agreed to maintain close consultation to achieve a calm in the region.
