CAIRO - 13 April 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) launched the 175th humanitarian convoy, titled "Zad El-Izza carring urgent humanitarian aid as part of Egypt’s continuous efforts to coordinate and deliver relief to the Gaza Strip.
The latest convoy includes over 5,060 tons of essential supplies, featuring:
Food Security: Food baskets and large quantities of flour.
Medical & Vital Operations: Fuel and petroleum products required to operate hospitals and vital facilities.
Winter Relief: Approximately 20,795 pieces of winter clothing and 2,305 blankets.
Shelter: 11,850 tents to provide shelter for displaced families.
The Egyptian Red Crescent emphasized that its presence at the borders has been constant since the beginning of the crisis. Egypt reaffirmed that the Rafah Border Crossing on the Egyptian side has never been closed. The ERC remains on high alert across all logistical centers, supported by a dedicated network of over 65,000 volunteers.
To date, Egypt’s total humanitarian and relief contributions to Gaza have exceeded 900,000 tons, showcasing the nation's role as the primary lifeline for the Palestinian people during this crisis.
