CAIRO - 11 April 2026: Following President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to brothers in the Gulf States and Lebanon, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, held separate phone calls with the Ministers of Health of Kuwait and Lebanon.
 
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar contacted Dr. Ahmed Abdel Wahab Al-Awadhi, Minister of Health of Kuwait, to inquire about the health situation in Kuwait.
 
During the call, he affirmed the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population's full readiness to provide all forms of health support and assistance to our brothers in Kuwait.
 
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar also contacted Dr. Rakan Nasser El-Din, Minister of Public Health of Lebanon, expressing Egypt's full solidarity with the Lebanese Republic.
 
During the call, he affirmed the Ministry's readiness to provide all necessary health support and offered to send specialized Egyptian medical teams to Lebanon to bolster healthcare services there.
 
In the health sector, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Wahab Al-Awadhi expressed his deep gratitude to Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and the Arab Republic of Egypt for this fraternal initiative.
 
Dr. Rakan Nasser Al-Din also expressed his profound thanks and appreciation to Egypt, commending its supportive role in the health sector. He confirmed that a list of Lebanese health needs would be sent to Egypt for review and fulfillment.
 
The Ministry of Health and Population affirms that these two communications reflect the depth of the historical fraternal relations between Egypt, Kuwait, and Lebanon, and are part of the ongoing health cooperation between Egypt and its Arab brothers.
