WASHINGTON – 5 April 2026: US President Donald Trump warned that “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one” in Iran if the country does not reopen the vital Strait of Hormuz.

Trump is repeating his threats to target Iranian infrastructure, including bridges and power plants, to pressure Tehran to reopen the strait, through which a fifth of the world’s oil passed before the war, and to reach a deal.

“There will be nothing like it!!!” Trump said on his Truth Social.

He added, using coarse language, that Iran must open the strait “or you’ll be living in Hell.”

Iran has effectively shut down ‌the strait in retaliation for US-Israeli strikes, now in their fifth week, causing energy prices to soar worldwide.

Trump on Saturday gave Iran a 48-hour ultimatum to open the strait or “all Hell will reign down on them.”
