Egypt offers condolences to Qatar and Türkiye after helicopter crash in Qatari waters

CAIRO - 22 MARCH 2026: Egypt has expressed its condolences to Qatar and Türkiye after a helicopter crashed in Qatar’s territorial waters, leaving victims from both countries.

In a statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry offered “sincere condolences and sympathy” to the two governments and peoples, and extended condolences to the families of those killed. Egypt said it stands in solidarity with Qatar and Türkiye during what it described as a painful moment.
