CAIRO - 18 March 2026: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, made a phone call on Wednesday to Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Foreign Minister of the State of Kuwait, to inquire about the developments of the current events in the sisterly Arab nation.

The phone call came per the instructions of the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

During the call, the Kuwaiti minister reviewed the decisive security efforts exerted by the Kuwaiti state institutions to deter the Iranian aggression and resolutely confront any attempts to undermine its internal security or tamper with its resources and stability.

In this context, Minister Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's unequivocal condemnation of these attacks, emphasizing that they constitute a “blatant violation” of the sovereignty of the State of Kuwait and a clear breach of international law and the principles of good neighborliness.

The Foreign Minister affirmed Egypt's full solidarity, as a leadership, government, and people, with the sisterly State of Kuwait, emphasizing Egypt's unwavering support for Kuwait in confronting any threats to its sovereignty or to the safety of its citizens and residents.

Minister Abdelatty also reiterated Egypt's firm stance that the security and stability of the State of Kuwait constitute a fundamental pillar and an integral part of Egyptian national security, stemming from the shared destiny and deep-rooted historical and fraternal ties that bind the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
