CAIRO – 16 March 2026: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad headed to the Jordanian capital of Amman on Monday, the fourth stop on his tour of a number of Arab and Gulf countries amid the ongoing regional war.

 

According to a statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Abdelatty will convey a message of solidarity and full support to Jordan in light of the security challenges facing the region.

 

The visit is expected to include discussions on ways to de-escalate tensions, prioritize the diplomatic track, and coordinate Arab efforts, reflecting the shared destiny and intertwined interests that unite Egypt and Jordan, the statement said.

 

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty embarked on a regional tour on Sunday, starting from Qatar, then the UAE, and Oman. Egypt is exerting termendous diplomatic efforts to contain the confrontation, warning of its expansion to the whole region.
