CAIRO - 12 March 2026: CAIRO - 12 March 2026: Egyptian Minister of Transport, Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, reassured citizens during his speech at the National Front Party forum, confirming that metro and train ticket prices have not changed so far.
 
The forum, organized by the National Front Party, was held to discuss the repercussions of the escalating military situation in the Middle East, amid rising tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel.
 
The forum was attended by a number of political figures, media personalities, and those interested in public affairs. The forum saw the participation of National Front Party leaders, along with public figures and experts in political and strategic affairs.
 
The discussions addressed the dimensions of the rapid developments in the region and their potential impact on regional and international stability.
 
Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced this week new increases in the prices of gasoline and diesel, raising them by LE 3 per liter, with the changes taking effect at 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
According to the ministry, the updated prices are as follows:
 
Gasoline 95: from LE 21 to LE 24 per liter
 
Gasoline 92: from LE 19.25 to LE 22.25 per liter
 
Gasoline 80: from LE 17.75 to LE 20.75 per liter
 
Diesel: from LE 17.5 to LE 20.5 per liter
