More than 20K individuals gather for massive Iftar Ramadan banquets in Giza’s Imbaba

CAIRO - 6 March 2026: For the first time, Imbaba district of Giza held an Iftar Ramadan gathering on Friday with an exceptional festive atmosphere. The streets transformed into a joyful Ramadan tableau, blending happiness and solidarity in a scene that reflects the true spirit of the holy month.

The streets of Imbaba were full of thousands of fasting individuals gathered on Al-Etimad Street and 42 of its side streets for one of the largest communal Iftar meals for more than 20,000 individuals, Youm7. The festive atmosphere was further enriched by the participation of local residents, who actively contributed to organizing the event and welcoming guests.

Voices of greetings for the blessed month filled the air, while an atmosphere of joy and celebration spread throughout Imbaba’s streets. The event is a tradition that reflects the community’s deep-rooted values and the spirit of compassion that Ramadan embodies.

A day earlier, Iftar Ramadan gathering in Al Matariya, Cairo, one of the largest communal banquets, was held to break the fast during the holy month.
