Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty
CAIRO - 4 March 2026: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad Minister Badr Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's full support for its brotherly Arab states during a series of phone calls he made Wednesday with his Arab counterparts amid the rapidly evolving situation in the region.
Dr. Badr Abdelatty held phone calls with Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates; Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman; and Asaad Al-Shaibani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Syrian Arab Republic.
Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the calls involved an exchange of views on the rapidly evolving situation and the current regional context. The foreign ministers expressed their deep concern regarding the dangerous military escalation in the region and its repercussions on regional peace and security, warning against the continued expansion of the conflict and the direct threat it poses to international peace and security.
During the calls, Minister Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's full support for its brotherly Arab states, emphasizing the categorical rejection of any attacks targeting their territories and any pretexts to justify such attacks or infringe upon their sovereignty. He noted that Arab national security is indivisible.
The official spokesperson added that the contacts witnessed an agreement to continue close consultation and coordination during the coming period, and to intensify consultations regarding future arrangements in the region, and to emphasize the need to unify the Arab voice regarding those arrangements in a way that ensures the protection of Arab interests and capabilities and preserves the security and stability of the countries and peoples of the region.
