Egypt experiences fluctuating winter weather Thursday: EMA

CAIRO - 26 February 2026: Egypt is experiencing fluctuating winter weather on Thursday, with cold mornings that tend to warm up during the day, while strong cold returns at night to most areas, according to the latest update from the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).

 

The Authority predicted varying intensities of rain across scattered areas of the northern coast and the northern Delta, with a slight to moderate chance of it extending towards the Suez Canal cities and some districts of Greater Cairo.

 

Winds will be active at intervals, increasing the feeling of cold.

 

In the same context, the Meteorological Authority warned of rough seas in parts of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez, urging caution, especially for those working in maritime activities.

 

 

The Meteorological Authority also indicated the expected maximum and minimum temperatures for Thursday as follows:

Low 11°C

 

- Alexandria:

 

High 19°C

Low 12°C

 

- Matrouh:

 

High 18°C

Low 10°C

 

- Sohag:
