Sudanese Prime Minister arrives in Egypt for two-day visit

CAIRO – 26 February 2026: Sudanese Prime Minister Kamel Idris arrived in Cairo on Thursday morning for a two-day official visit, according to a statement released by the Sudanese Cabinet.

Egyptian Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sweilam received Idris and his accompanying high-level delegation upon their arrival, the statement added.

Idris is scheduled to hold meetings with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

Bilateral meetings between the two countries will also be held to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and strengthen relations across various fields, the statement said.
