CAIRO - 21 February 2026: Manar Ghanem, a member of the media center at the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA), revealed that the country will experience unstable weather conditions next Monday, as a deep upper-level low-pressure system brings wintry conditions and rain to coastal areas, inland governorates, and some northern governorates.

In exclusive statements to Egypt Today, Ghanem added that the weather system will also be accompanied by a drop in temperatures, increased wind activity, and disruption to maritime navigation.

She noted that the low-pressure system will begin affecting the country on Sunday, peaking on Monday.

Rain is expected to start on the northwestern coast and northern Nile Delta on Sunday, extending to most northern governorates on Monday. She added that Greater Cairo will experience less intense rainfall.
