Temperatures rise to 31°C southern Egypt amid unstable weather

CAIRO - 7 February 2026: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) indicated that the expected high temperature Saturday in Greater Cairo is 27 degrees Celsius, and in Upper Egypt, it is 31 degrees Celsius.

 

According to EMA, Saturday will see a continued rise in temperatures across most of the country. The weather will be cool in the early morning, warm during the day in the north and slightly hot in the south, and cool at night across most areas.

 

The Meteorological Authority provided the expected maximum and minimum temperatures for today as follows:

 

- Cairo:

 

High 27 degrees Celsius

Low 19 degrees Celsius

 

- Alexandria:

 

High 26 degrees Celsius

Low 16 degrees Celsius

 

- Marsa Matrouh:

 

High 25 degrees Celsius

Low 15 degrees Celsius

 

- Sohag:

 

High 30 degrees Celsius

Low 14 degrees Celsius

 

- Qena:

 

High 31 degrees Celsius

Low 13 degrees Celsius

 

- Aswan:

 

High 31 degrees Celsius

Low 14 degrees Celsius
