ARISH – 25 January 2026: The 20th Turkish aid ship arrived at Al-Arish port on Sunday, carrying around 1,400 tons of humanitarian assistance destined for Gaza, according to Turkish reports, citing a statement by Türkiye’s Embassy in Cairo.

The shipment, prepared by the Turkish Red Crescent Society, includes food supplies, hygiene kits, clothing, shelter materials, and items for children.

Upon arrival, the aid is being handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent for transport to Gaza.

Turkish Ambassador to Egypt Salih Mutlu Şen who was present at the port to receive the vessel, expressed gratitude to Egypt for its cooperation in facilitating aid to Gaza.

He welcomed the arrival of the 20th aid ship, affirming that the vessel was sent to support those oppressed and in need in Gaza.

Ambassador Şen noted that the pace of humanitarian shipments from Turkey is expected to increase in the coming period, following the establishment of the Peace Board.

He also expressed confidence that the Turkish people will provide additional donations during Ramadan, with relief materials delivered through AFAD, the Turkish Red Crescent Society, and other organizations and charities.

The ambassador emphasized that relief activities, including in the health sector, will be intensified in coordination with Egyptian authorities.

He also expressed hope that Gaza residents displaced to Egypt will be able to return home safely, with dignity, and as quickly as possible.

Ambassador Şen extended his thanks to all Egyptian authorities involved in the effort, including the Ministry of Interior, the Egyptian Red Crescent, the Suez Canal Economic Zone, and the North Sinai Governorate, for their continued support in facilitating humanitarian aid.
