CAIRO – 23 November 2025: The Second Field Army Command has received a delegation of tribal elders, community leaders and civil society representatives from North Sinai, the Armed Forces’ spokesman said in a statement on Sunday.

The meeting formed part of the Armed Forces’ efforts to strengthen community outreach in governorates within the remit of field armies and military regions.

During the meeting, the tribal leaders and civil society representatives affirmed that the people of North Sinai stand firmly alongside the Armed Forces in supporting the state’s strategic development plan for the peninsula.

They praised the military’s efforts and roles in safeguarding the nation and protecting its security across all strategic directions.

Major General Mohamed Yousef Assaf, Commander of the Second Field Army, delivered a speech conveying the greetings and appreciation of General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, and Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, to the delegation.

Assaf expressed his appreciation for the ongoing community engagement with the Armed Forces and highlighted the importance of joint efforts to improve living conditions for the people of North Sinai.

He also commended the constructive cooperation between various state institutions in advancing development across all sectors in the governorate.
