UK Prime Minister to visit Egypt soon to elevate bilateral relations

CAIRO – 20 November 2025: British Ambassador to Cairo, Mark Bryson-Richardson, announced that British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer will visit Egypt to sign an agreement elevating relations to a strategic partnership with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

In his speech during the celebration marking King Charles's birthday in his Cairo residence, the Ambassador stated that Egypt and the United Kingdom share a historic relationship and that there are vast opportunities to strengthen it in the future, Youm7 reported on Wednesday.

He emphasized that this partnership will chart an ambitious course for relations, ensuring enhanced cooperation in all areas, from climate and renewable energy to growth and shared security.
