CAIRO – 9 November 2025: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on Sunday inspected the first amphibious bus agreed to be manufactured locally in Egypt, alongside other locally produced transport models.
The project marks a new step in Egypt’s efforts to localize transport industries, with the amphibious bus expected to enhance tourism services by offering a unique travel experience on both land and water.

Madbouly checked a lineup of the new transportation means during the International Smart Transport and Logistics Exhibition (TransMEA) held in Cairo’s Fifth Settlement from 9 to 11 November.
During his tour, the prime minister examined the first of 55 new metro trains ordered for Cairo Metro Line 1, designed to improve service quality and passenger comfort.

He also checked the country’s first high-speed electric train and gave the signal to begin the trial operation of its first phase linking El Sokhna, Alamein, and Marsa Matrouh.
The trial run will take place in the 6th of October City, west of Cairo.
