CAIRO – 26 October 2025: As part of the ongoing preparations for the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum due on November 1, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs, held a meeting on Sunday, October 26, with senior officials and members of the ministry’s working group responsible for the event. 

 

According to a statement released by the ministry on Sunday, the meeting reviewed the ministry’s readiness for this landmark cultural occasion, which stands as one of Egypt’s and the world’s most significant civilizational projects.

 

Minister Abdelatty underscored the importance of continued coordination between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant national bodies, highlighting the ministry’s vital role in welcoming senior international officials and dignitaries attending the opening. 

 

He stressed the need to ensure that the event is organized in a manner that reflects Egypt’s rich history and ancient civilization.

 

The Minister also instructed Egyptian missions abroad to intensify their efforts to promote the Grand Egyptian Museum and its opening ceremony, emphasizing the museum’s global significance as a beacon of human heritage and a testament to Egypt’s leading role in preserving civilization and history.

 

Abdelatty affirmed that the Grand Egyptian Museum represents not only an archaeological and tourism milestone, but also a cultural message that showcases Egypt’s standing on the international stage. He called for continued cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all relevant state institutions to ensure the success of this historic event, in a manner worthy of Egypt and its people.
