CAIRO – 24 October 2025: Field Marshal Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of the Army Staff, has highlighted his keenness to strengthen military cooperation between the Egyptian and Pakistani armed forces, the Egyptian military spokesman said in a statement on Friday.

Munir met in Cairo with General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production of Egypt, and Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.

Munir praised Egypt’s pivotal role in establishing the foundations of just peace in the Middle East.

The meeting focused on discussing areas of mutual interest to support military relations between the two countries and aligning perspectives on frameworks that bolster international peace and security.

Saqr expressed pride in the long-standing ties between the armed forces of Egypt and Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of supporting efforts to achieve security and stability amid rapidly evolving international and regional developments.

Discussions between Munir and Khalifa centered on enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise across various military domains.
