CAIRO – 11 October 2025: Afghanistan’s Taliban forces clashed with Pakistani troops along the shared border on Saturday, the AFP reported, citing officials from several provinces.

The Afghan military accused Islamabad of launching air strikes inside Afghan territory.

The fighting came after explosions in Kabul and southeastern Afghanistan on Thursday, which the Taliban-run defense ministry later blamed on Pakistan, saying the attacks violated the country’s sovereignty.

In a statement, the Afghan military said its forces were engaged “in heavy clashes against Pakistani security forces in various areas” along the border “in retaliation for air strikes carried out by the Pakistani army on Kabul.”
