CAIRO – 6 October 2025: In celebration of Egypt and the Armed Forces marking the 52nd anniversary of the Glorious October Victory, the Egyptian military has announced that all military museums will be open to the public free of charge today, Monday, October 6th.

This initiative is part of the Armed Forces' commitment to promoting military and national awareness and culture. It aims to educate the public about the achievements, heroism, and sacrifices of Egypt's servicemen in defense of the nation’s honor and sanctity.

The October 1973 Victory, in which Egyptian forces crossed the Suez Canal and reclaimed Sinai territories occupied by Israel since 1967, remains a defining moment in Egypt’s modern history.

The triumph restored national pride, reshaped regional dynamics, and demonstrated the resilience and unity of the Egyptian people. The anniversary continues to symbolize courage, sacrifice, and the enduring commitment to defending Egypt’s sovereignty and dignity.

Marking the day, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi visited the Memorial of the Armed Forces’ Martyrs on Sunday morning and laid wreaths at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the tomb of late President Mohamed Anwar El Sadat, and the mausoleum of late President Gamal Abdel Nasser.
