CAIRO - 4 October 2025: No fatalities have occurred in Egypt as a result of a “man-made” Nile flooding, according to the Egyptian Red Crescent.
The Egyptian Red Crescent is at the maximum level of readiness to support of the authorities in countering the effects of the high water level of the Nile River.
Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity and Vice President of the Egyptian Red Crescent, directed follow-up and evaluation of the needs of the people of the villages affected.
The Egyptian Red Crescent branches in the 15 governorates most vulnerable to the risk of high levels of the Nile. The Red Crescent’s response teams in Menoufia Governorate continue to reach the affected villages.
The Egyptian Red Crescent teams and Governor of Menoufia made a field evaluation of the needs of those affected in the village of Jazi Menouf.
The field survey indicated the losses in the village of Jazi, including the sinking of sheds of livestock, albeit without any loss of lives.
