Egypt's FM meets with Director General of the Multinational Force and Observers in Sinai

CAIRO – 30 September 2025: Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, met on Monday, September 29, with the Director General of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) in Sinai.

Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Minister Abdelatty emphasized during the meeting the vital role the Multinational Force has played in Sinai for over four decades since the signing of the Egyptian-Israeli Peace Treaty. He described the MFO as a fundamental pillar for peace and stability in the region.

The spokesperson added that Minister Abdelatty praised the ongoing coordination between the Multinational Force and Egyptian authorities and stressed the importance of continued international support for the Force. He also appreciated the participation of its member states, which reflects strong global backing for the MFO’s activities and its crucial role.

For her part, Elizabeth Dibble commended the distinguished cooperation between the Multinational Force and the Egyptian side, highlighting the full cooperation and facilitation provided by the Egyptian authorities to the MFO.
