CAIRO – 15 September 2025: King Felipe VI of Spain and Queen Letizia will begin a state visit to Egypt, Tuesday at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. The 4-days visit will start on 16 September until the 19th of the same month.

According to a statement from the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they will be accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares.

This trip, which will include visits to the cities of Cairo and Luxor, is part of the excellent relations between the two countries, which were elevated to the level of a strategic partnership following President Al-Sisi's visit to Spain in February this year.

It represents a favourable opportunity to continue strengthening the deep historical, political, economic, cultural, scientific, cooperative and human ties that exist between Egypt and Spain.

The Spanish King and Queen will be received by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi at the Al-Ittihadiya Palace, where an official welcome ceremony will be held.

They will also make a series of visits to Spanish economic, cultural and scientific projects in Cairo and Luxor, including archaeological sites.

During the trip, the Egypt-Spain Business Forum will also be held to boost economic and trade relations between the two countries.
