CAIRO – 7 September 2025: Temperatures across Egypt are experiencing a slight decline this week, with Cairo and the North Coast maintaining moderate felt-like highs between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius.

While the actual temperatures show a mild cooling trend, humidity levels remain elevated, causing the heat to feel more intense, especially during mornings and evenings.

Residents in these regions are advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions amid the muggy conditions.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) also forecasts light morning fog in some northern roads and scattered light rain in parts of the North Coast and Delta.

Moderate winds are expected to help alleviate some of the humidity later in the day.

In Cairo, daytime temperatures are expected to reach highs between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius through the week.

However, due to elevated humidity levels, the felt-like temperatures will be slightly higher, ranging from 34 to 36 degrees Celsius, making the heat feel more intense than the actual readings.

Along the North Coast, actual temperatures will be a bit cooler, with highs around 30 to 31 degrees Celsius and felt-like highs of up to 34 degrees Celsius.

Heat is more intense in Upper Egypt with felt-like temperatures set to hover around 36-37 degrees Celsius in northern parts, including Minya and Fayoum, and up to 40 degrees Celsius in the south, home to the charming Luxor and Aswan cities.

If you’re planning a vacation, the North Coast remains an excellent choice, where you can enjoy the beautiful Alexandria and Matrouh.
