Alexandria closes all beaches Tuesday due to high waves

CAIRO - 26 August 2025: Alexandria Governorate announced the total closure of the beaches of Alexandria in its eastern and western sectors onTuesday, based on the reports of the Meteorological Authority, which warned of the high waves that may reach 3.5 meters.

 

The authority appealed to all followers to adhere to the decision and not go to the beaches Tuesday for their safety, as the Central Administration of Tourism confirms the spread of rescue teams, and the administration's inspectors with their full strength on the beaches of Alexandria to ensure the implementation of the decision.

 

This comes in light of the warning issued by the General Meteorological Authority, and Alexandria Governorate calls on the citizens to be cautious as weather forecast indicates a disruption in maritime navigation on some areas of the Mediterranean coast, especially in the areas (Matrouh - Al -Alamein - Alexandria - Baltim).
