VIDEO: Egypt-US 'BRIGHT STAR' Exercise Launches 28 August with 43 Nations

CAIRO – 23 August 2025: Egypt and the United States will launch the 19th edition of the “BRIGHT STAR” joint military exercise next Thursday, said the Egyptian Armed Forces’ spokesman in a statement today.

The drills will take place in Egypt from 28 August to 10 September.

The BRIGHT STAR is one the largest joint military exercise in the Middle East, said the spokesman. This year’s exercise will see the participation of 43 countries.

Of these, 13 nations will take part as active participants, deploying more than 7,900 troops, while 30 other countries will join as observers.
