Egyptian universities hold meeting with Cultural Offices of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain to recruit students

CAIRO - 21 August 2025: Head of the Central Administration for International Students Affairs has virtually met with the heads of the Cairo-based Cultural Offices of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to promote the Study in Egypt platform. 

According to a Wednesday statement by the administration, headed by Ahmed Abdel Ghani, comes as part of enhancing Egypt's position as an international educational destination. 

The Cultural Office of Saudi Arabia was represented by Mansour bin Zaid Al-Khathlan, the Acting Head of the Saudi Cultural Attaché in Cairo. Representatives from several Egyptian universities, including Helwan University, Port Said University, Minya University, Galala University, and Sadat Academy for Management Sciences attended the meeting.

The meeting featured detailed presentations from the participating universities on their academic programs, available majors, educational facilities, and services offered to international students. 

The virtual meeting with the Cultural Office of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Cairo, was attended by representatives from several Egyptian universities, including Cairo University, Alexandria University, and Mansoura University.

During the meeting, the universities reviewed their academic programs, the educational opportunities they offer to international students, as well as the educational facilities and services provided.

Ahmed Abdel Ghani emphasized that the two meetings aimed to introduce the mechanisms and steps for applying through the "Study in Egypt" platform and to answer inquiries from students and their parents, facilitating the process of enrolling in Egyptian universities for international students wishing to study.

He also highlighted the great interaction from Saudi and Bahraini students interested in studying in Egypt, who said the presentations and discussions helped them learn about the advantages of university education in Egypt.

Such meetings are part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's strategy to attract more international students, provide them with the necessary support, and simplify their admission procedures to Egyptian universities. They also aim to enhance the status of Egyptian university education internationally through direct communication with students in various countries.
