CAIRO – 14 August 2025: Up to 141 aid trucks crossed into the Gaza Strip via the Kerem Shalom crossing, out of a total of 220 trucks coordinated for entry. This comes as part of the fifth aid convoy in the "Zad Al-Izza" series launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent on July 27.
54 trucks have already unloaded their cargo, while between eight and ten trucks returned without unloading, due to ongoing obstacles and slow inspection procedures on the Israeli side, despite prior coordination for all shipments.
This brings the total amount of humanitarian aid that has entered the Gaza Strip over the past 15 days to approximately 16,000 tons, including food baskets, flour, legumes, medical and personal supplies, milk and diapers for babies, as well as hot meals and fresh bread prepared in the Egyptian Red Crescent's humanitarian kitchen in Sheikh Zuweid.
Approximately 35,000 Egyptian Red Crescent volunteers are working around the clock, both in logistical areas and on the roads between Arish and Rafah, to ensure rapid intervention and support the aid entry process.
These efforts are part of a disciplined and professional system overseen by the Egyptian state in accordance with international standards, in parallel with Egypt's negotiating and political efforts to achieve a comprehensive truce, a ceasefire, a prisoner and hostage exchange, and support for a two-state solution to end the crisis.
