CAIRO- 9 August 2025: Egypt, its government and people, expressed their sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the government and people of Ghana for the victims of the helicopter crash in the Ashanti region, which resulted in a number of casualties, including the Ghanaian Ministers of Defense and Environment and a number of officials.

 

Egypt affirmed its full solidarity with Ghana in this painful incident and expresses its sincere condolences to the families of the victims, said the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigration in a statement on Saturday. 

 

Ghanaian Minister of Defense  Edward Omane Boamah and Minister of Environment Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, along six other  officials, were killed in a helicopter crash in central area of Ashanti on Wednesday. The reasons behind the crash are still under investigations.
