CAIRO – 2 August 2025: Temperatures are expected to continue dropping across the northern regions of the country, including Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt. Low to medium clouds will appear from the north extending to Greater Cairo, the Egyptian Metrological Authority (EMA) said in a statement on Saturday.
Dr. Mahmoud Shahin, Director General of Forecasting and Early Warning at the Meteorological Authority, stated that today's weather will be hot and humid across most areas, becoming very hot and humid in South Sinai and southern regions. Conditions will remain warm and humid at night and in the early morning.
Fog is expected around 8:40 AM on roads leading to and from northern areas, including Greater Cairo, the Canal cities [Suez, Ismailia, and Port Said], and Central Sinai. Winds will be active across much of the country, contributing to improved weather conditions.
There is also a slight chance of light rain over parts of Greater Cairo, with scattered showers expected in Lower Egypt, the northern coast, Halayeb, and Shalateen, along the borders with Sudan.
