CAIRO – 18 July 2025: Egypt is expecting a mild decrease in temperatures across the country from Saturday to Monday, a short break from heat during this sizzling summer.

During this time, Cairo will experience daytime highs of 37-38 degrees Celsius, while Alexandria will enjoy a pleasant 31 degrees, perfect for a vacation, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).

Hot weather is expected in Upper Egypt, with northern areas reaching 37-38 degrees Celsius during daytime, while Aswan and Luxor in the south are expecting soaring temperatures of 41-43 degrees.

Starting Tuesday, prepare for a gradual increase in daytime temperatures, with Cairo hitting 38 degrees, Alexandria at 33 degrees, and Upper Egypt soaring to 40-43 degrees.

Take care as these temperatures are measured in the shade, and humidity can make it feel up to two degrees warmer nationwide.

Stay hydrated, wear light-colored and lightweight clothing, and seek shade whenever possible. And don’t forget, cold showers are your best friend during this heat.
