Egypt extends condolences to India following fatal plane crash near Ahmedabad Airport

CAIRO – 12 June 2025 – Egypt extended its heartfelt condolences to the Republic of India following the tragic crash of an Air India passenger plane near Ahmedabad Airport in western India on the morning of June 12.

The accident resulted in a significant loss of life, with no survivors reported among the 242 people on board.

In an official statement, Egypt expressed its full solidarity with the Indian government and people as they confront the aftermath of this devastating tragedy.

Egypt also offered its deepest sympathies to the families of the victims, including those of Indian and other nationalities who were on board the ill-fated flight.
