On Africa Day, Egypt’s Sisi emphasizes African roots, unwavering support

CAIRO - 26 May 2025: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized Egypt's “unwavering commitment” to supporting constructive cooperation and enhancing development and peace efforts across the African continent.

On Africa Day, coinciding with May 25, Sisi said via his official social media accounts: "On May 25th of each year, we celebrate Africa Day, the day of unity and solidarity. This day symbolizes the aspirations of the African people for a bright future and sustainable development.”

“Egypt, whose roots extend deep into African history, affirms its unwavering commitment to supporting constructive cooperation and enhancing development and peace efforts across the continent to create a brighter and more prosperous tomorrow for the people of Africa.
